ABOUT
ME

Passionate About Sharing the Gospel and Educating Children

My name is Emma Boyer, and I am an alumna of Geneva College in Beaver Falls, PA, where I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Education after three years of dedicated study. Currently, I serve as a part-time School Coordinator for the Caribbean Youth Network while also working full-time as a teacher at a local private school called Windsor in Nassau.

On the island, I will be working with Dan and Kelly Weighman, the founders of the Caribbean Youth Network, who have dedicated over twenty years to serving in the Bahamas. I will collaborate with them in their ministry by assisting with various youth group activities hosted in Nassau, aimed at reaching and engaging a diverse range of individuals.

Call to Missions

I grew up in the Laurel Highlands and spent much of my life involved in the ministry of St. Paul's Presbyterian Church in Somerset, PA. Through this community, God shaped me into the woman I am today. My calling to full-time missionary work was solidified through my participation in Crossroads Youth Ministry, Summer Best Two Weeks, Pine Springs, and KingsKidz, all of which deepened my relationship with the Lord.

Alongside my spiritual journey, I developed a passion for horseback riding as a member of the United States Pony Club, where I competed in Eventing with my childhood best friend, Kendra, and our thoroughbred, Rowan, affectionately known as Ro-Bear.

I also have a strong enthusiasm for the outdoors and recreational sports, including skiing, rock climbing, and hiking. I love integrating my love for nature into my teaching and ministry work, allowing my students to experience the beauty of God’s creation. There’s nothing quite like fostering a sense of appreciation for creation in the hearts of children!

During my time at Geneva College, I realized I could combine my dual callings of missionary work and education. Through biblical teaching and meaningful learning opportunities, I pray that God will work through me to transform the lives of young children and help raise the next generation of Christian leaders. This is why I am serving with the Caribbean Youth Network in the Bahamas—to work towards this goal and support the mission of cultivating communities worldwide to come to know Jesus and positively impact lives.
